Backpacks for Berrien is a simple program. Each child gets a backpack. At the beginning of the school year, we will fill it with school supplies. Then every Friday, we will put a bag of non-perishable, easy-to-make food into their backpack and the school will very discreetly give it to them. It’s food your child will like to eat on the weekend.
